Gérard has been a National Educator with U.S. Soccer since 2018, teaching across Grassroots up to B Licence pathway.
He has mentored and trained over 3,000 coaches across various levels
He has also mentored over over 170 Sporting Kansas City Academy and Academy Affiliate Coaches across the B Licence, C and D Licence and Grassroots courses since 2022
He has also presented as a Guest Speaker at Kentucky Youth Soccer Conference "Soccer Learning University" in Feb 2020, alongside supporting the West Virginia Youth Soccer Podcast "WVSA Beyond The Pitch Podcast" 2019-22 and delivered guest CPD and Webinars for U.S. Soccer and North Texas Soccer. As a leading educator, he has mentored coaches on behalf of U.S. Soccer, U.S. Youth Soccer and U.S. Club Soccer.
Gérard has mentored and trained coaches across all levels from Grassroots, Development & Elite for Four of the Six continental bodies of football governance (eg. UEFA, AFC, CAF & CONCACAF), across a range of courses from AFC Pro Licence with the Bangladesh Football Federation & CAF Pro Licence with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, the CAF/FRMF A Licence, FRMF A Youth, and various FRMF Technical Directors and other specialist courses.
He has also delivered practical field sessions on the SFA UEFA B with the Maltese FA in 2012. Since 2017 he taught on the FAW C Licence. Since 2022, he has delivered FA CPD Webinars and taught on the FA UEFA C Licence. Since 2018, he has been an educator with U.S. Soccer teaching on the B Licence, C Licence, D Licence and Grassroots courses, including various webinars, conferences, and CPD
During his time within the DTN, Gérard created all Coach Education courses, material, Game Model and Principles and trained Moroccan Youth National Team coaches in the DTN in the methodology and principles. He also mentored and trained coaches nationally across all levels!
He introduced individualized coaching methods that saw increase in youth players transitioning into their club’s first-teams across the Botola Pro.
As Course Director for FRMF Youth Coaches Course, he created the first ever specialist Youth Award which helped mentor 84 youth coaches in the Botola Pro 1 INWI Academies across Modules 1 and 2 that focused on Developing the Player and Developing the Practice to improve the individual. He was also responsible for launching the first approved CAF A Licence course in over 10 years, with the FRMF coach education being recognised by the CAF Convention.
Whilst in the DTN, Morocco continued to have significant success in continental competitions. During the 2020/21 season,
Wydad reached the Semi-Finals, and 2019/20 Wydad and Raja Casablanca reached the Semi-Finals of the CAF Champions League. In the CAF Confederation Cup Berkane were Champions 2021. He worked with coaches on various CAF Pro Licence, A Licence courses, FRMF A Youth, B & C Instructors Licence, Botola Pro Workshops and the FRMF Technical Directors Licence.
Across the DTN, the Moroccan National teams saw success, with the Moroccan A team becoming CAF CHAN Champions 2020. Morocan Senior Men's Team were Fourth FIFA World Cup 2022, the U20s Champions of UNAF in Tunisia in 2020, reached Quarter-Finals AFCON in 2021, Quarter-Finalists of Arab Cup, U17s won UNAF in 2022, Runners-up in Arab Cup 2022 and Runners-up in AFCON in 2022, the Women's National Team were AFCON
runners-up in 2022, Champions of UNAF Women's Cup in 2020, and Women's U17s Qualified for FIFA U17 Women's World cup amongst other achievements in recent times
